VILLAGE OFFICE UPDATE

VILLAGE OF TREMPEALEAU MUNICIPAL POOL

Message from the Village of Trempealeau Board:

The Trempealeau Village Board voted in favor of opening the Trempealeau Swimming Pool at the Special Village Board Meeting on May 21,2020.

Due to COVID-19, we are required per guidelines from the CDC and the Trempealeau County Health Department to decrease the number of patrons who utilize the pool and therefore we will have new regulations and expectations in place. The Pool will open on June 14, 2020, initially only to residents of the Village of Trempealeau and Village of Trempealeau Tax Payers. We will be working with the Trempealeau County Health Department to determine when we can allow more people.

If we are able to accommodate more patrons as time progresses, then the pool will open up to surrounding townships.

We realize this is bittersweet news to our Community and patrons of the pool. More information will be released through the Trempealeau Pool Facebook page, the Village of Trempealeau website and through the Trempealeau County Times newspaper regarding changes in operating procedures and rules. We know this is not an ideal situation and we will do our best to open up to more of our community as soon as we can.

You may determine eligibility by if you pay Village of Trempealeau Taxes or you are a resident within the Village limits.  At this time you do not qualify if you pay Trempealeau County taxes or      G-E-T School District Taxes – no funding to run the pool is coming from those sources this season. Also, not all Trempealeau Municipal Utility Customers live in the Village and therefore you may not be eligible by being a Utility Customer.  The pool is funded totally by our General Fund from Village of Trempealeau Taxpayers.
